Ward's Hot Bulletin Board

Late February 2021:
Voter data from the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections shows 40 individuals voted in the 2020 election from a single address, 3333 NE 39th Ave. That just happens to be the Alachua County Detention Center.

Further review revealed that 19 of the voting inmates owed fines, fees, and/or restitution from felony convictions prior to casting a 2020 ballot.
10 of the inmates were serving felony judgment sentences and awaiting transfer to state prison, yet voted by mail in the 2020 general election.

Ward Scott informed on that same day. Ward immediately notified Sheriff Watson and State House Rep Chuck Clemons.

Early March 2021:
Digging deeper, it was discovered that the inmates either registered to vote or changed their mailing address to the county jail on days when SOE Outreach Director Thomas "TJ" Pyche physically visited the jail for advertised voter registration drives.

18 case files were generated from this information and verified by a former state prosecutor who also identified applicable Florida criminal statutes.

A $500 public records request resulted in obtaining July 2020 emails between SOE Barton and Outreach Director Pyche concerning felons who were ineligible to register and/or vote.

April 2021:
It was decided, after the end of the 2020 Legislative Session, that Chuck Clemons, Ward Scott, and Mark Glaeser would meet with 8th Circuit State Attorney, Brian Kramer after dropping off the case files in advance.

May 13, 2021:
The arranged meeting took place between Chuck, Ward, and Mark in SA Kramer's office accompanied by Chief SA Investigator Darry Lloyd and assistant State Attorney Heather Jones.

After some discussion, SA Kramer became aware of involvement by SOE's office, specifically TJ Pyche at Kim Barton's direction.
The meeting ended with Darry Lloyd in possession of the case files that were subsequently turned over to the Sheriff's office.
Sheriff Watson, now in charge of the county jail, wisely passes the cases to FDLE.
